The Shepparton Stabling Yard works formed a critical component of the broader Shepparton Corridor Upgrade, as part of the Regional Rail Revival project, a joint initiative between the Australian Federal Government and the Victorian State Government, to upgrade all regional railway lines in Victoria. As part of the project’s critical path, the successful delivery of a new stabling yard was essential to the overall project timeline. CG+C Group’s member companies were engaged to complete comprehensive structural steel and building packages at the Shepparton Stabling, along with additional minor works across Stages 2 and 3 of the project.

Our Solution:

CG+C Group implemented an integrated approach, leveraging the collective expertise of its member companies. By utilising these established partnerships,
the team accelerated delivery timeframes for key steel elements, contributing to a reduction in the overall programme schedule. CPE Construction took a leadership role in managing multiple trade contractors, ensuring seamless progress and effectively mitigating interface risks. Throughout the project, CG+C Group demonstrated strong problem-solving capabilities, providing costeffective and timely solutions to various design and architectural challenges.

The Result:

The project was successfully delivered, meeting critical handover dates and project requirements. CG+C Group’s ability to provide innovative solutions to design challenges, combined with effective trade coordination and accelerated steel delivery, proved instrumental in achieving the desired outcome. The collaborative approach between affiliated companies Connex Group, CPE Construction, and CGC Site Services demonstrated the Group’s capability to handle complex infrastructure projects, whilst maintaining high quality standards and meeting tight deadlines.
