Meet the Executive Team

Damion O'Callaghan

Managing Director, CG+C Group

Damion brings over two decades of expertise in engineering and construction as the Managing Director of CG+C Group, embodying a commitment to both professional excellence and community engagement.

Following the acquisition of CPE Construction in 2003, Damion has driven remarkable growth over the years, establishing CG+C Group in 2021 to meet the growing need for an end to end solution for both public and private infrastructure. He leads a dynamic team of 100+ employees, and his leadership extends beyond business, with active roles in the community, including having served on various school councils and regional local committees.

 

Michael Roberts

Chief Executive Officer, CG+C Group

Michael brings over a decade of experience
in construction leadership to his role as Chief
Executive Officer, with a strong focus on
strategic growth and operational excellence.


Before joining CG+C Group, he held senior roles
delivering high-profile infrastructure projects
in the defence and health sectors and more
recently in the data centre space, leading
complex conversions and contributing to
major national initiatives. With extensive
industry knowledge across multiple sectors,
Michael brings a sharp eye for stakeholder
engagement, risk, and opportunity, paired with
strategic foresight and commercial acumen.
He is committed to driving innovation and
sustainable outcomes across the organisation.

Kevin Feldtmann

Director, CG+C Group

With 20 years of corporate and entrepreneurial leadership experience, Kevin is known for his strategic coaching and mentoring, playing a pivotal role in driving business growth and overall team success at CG+C Group. 

Kevin’s career journey began in structural and mechanical drafting, which led to production management and founding his own successful engineering consultancy, Connex Group. His leadership role was key in merging Connex Group with both CPE Construction and Guthrie McGoldrick Consulting Engineers, growing the CG+C Group and expanding its operations. Kevin’s focus is on fostering strong teams and empowering leaders to achieve exceptional results, whilst steering commercial and business development at Connex Group.

Nick Gray

Chief Financial Officer, CG+C Group

Nick delivers a wealth of financial acumen and industry expertise to CG+C Group, driving strategic financial initiatives that support sustainable growth and operational excellence across diverse sectors.

Since joining in 2023, Nick has drawn from his experience in construction, manufacturing, education, and utilities to steer the company’s financial strategy. As a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, he brings a balance of commercial insight, dynamic leadership and a collaborative spirit to CG+C’s financial operations.




Amanda Herezo

Human Resources Manager, CG+C Group

Amanda harnesses over two decades of leadership experience to drive impactful human resource strategies across CG+C Group, fostering strong, engaged teams and empowering leaders to cultivate a culture of pride and belonging throughout the organization.

With well rounded experience working for major retailers across various management roles and a successful tenure at CPE Construction since 2019, Amanda brings a wealth of knowledge in leading diverse teams and has been
instrumental in shaping the CG+C Group’s human resource operations across all divisions.



Steve Badrock

General Manager, CPE Construction

Steve leverages extensive experience in construction, mining, oil & gas, and manufacturing, as General Manager of CPE Construction since 2021. Fostering a collaborative, approachable and mentoring leadership style, Steve is focused on developing people, cultivating strong teams, and driving continuous improvement in order to deliver exceptional results for CG+C Group’s clients.

As a chartered engineer with over a decade of experience as a client on projects requiring structural steel, Steve understands the importance of delivering high-quality products and believes this is what leaves a lasting impression on customers.

 

Damian Watson

General Manager, Connex Group

Damian oversees business operations at Connex Group, driving strategic planning and ensuring seamless collaboration between design and execution for successful project delivery.

With over a decade at Connex, Damian has advanced from entry-level to leadership, bringing strong expertise in engineering, project management, and Tekla Structures. He plays a key role in connecting architects, engineers, and contractors to achieve positive project outcomes. Damian also serves on the board of directors for the Australian Construction Modelers Association (ACMA).



Stuart Smith

General Manager, CGC Site Services & Concept Rigging

Stuart combines hands-on trade expertise with strategic leadership, driving project success and fostering a culture of accountability and high performance across the on-site installation teams of CG+C Group.

Since 2022, Stuart has offered a strong mix of technical expertise, backed by a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) qualification and various industry certifications, with work experience spanning operations management, construction, rigging and crane operation. His ability to guide teams through complex onsite challenges and projects, alongside sound financial management, has been key to driving
success and growth of the Group.



 

Damien Guthrie

Estimator, CG+C Group

Damien draws upon over 14 years of specialised estimating expertise to drive precision-driven solutions across CG+C Group’s engineering initiatives.

With extensive experience in project
management and technical design, Damien brings deep knowledge of project team leadership and estimating processes. Since 2010, Damien has been a critical asset to CG+C Group, delivering innovative solutions in structural steel, roofing, and aluminium design through his solution-oriented problem-solving and strategic resource allocation skills.

 

 

 

 

Chris Keys

Project Manager, CPE Construction

Chris provides nearly a decade of strategic project management expertise to CG+C Group, driving operational excellence through innovative problem-solving and technical precision. With a Bachelor of Engineering and nine years of dedicated project management experience, Chris has established himself as a versatile professional adept at navigating complex technical challenges. Since joining CG+C Group in 2015, he has consistently demonstrated exceptional skills in tendering, scheduling, and process optimisation

Stephen Roth

Operations Manager, CGC Site Services

With advanced rigging qualifications and a natural ability to foster strong client relationships, Stephen is a cornerstone of the team’s success. Bringing over 25 years of industry expertise to his role as Operations Manager, his extensive knowledge and hands-on experience inspires confidence in clients and colleagues alike, while his leadership has been pivotal in shaping and growing the rigging team. Stephen’s enduring client relationships and industry insights have played a crucial role in the expansion of the CGC Site Services division, ensuring CG+C Group continues to deliver excellence across every project.
